Every field has a frontier: the questions no one has answered yet. Map of the Unknown charts that frontier — unasked questions, untested hypotheses, and early observations become visible landmarks on a shared map of the unknown, showing where discovery can begin.

Map of the Unknown is the first platform where a thoughtful question earns the same credit as a published result — and where a birdwatcher's field note can spark a collaboration with a university lab. Traditional citizen science asks volunteers to collect data. Here, your insights have their own value: they can seed academic partnerships, inspire new research directions, or even be licensed commercially. Every contribution is hashed, timestamped, and permanently attributed.
